Different polycount and tessellation for identical geometry

We have the problem that pixyz tessellate identical parts (usually screws and washers) differently, which makes it impossible to instantiate these parts in 3ds max in the following step.

Hello Elin,

Had you any success since ?

PiXYZ does keep instances, from B-REP to mesh and even while optimizing geometry. Your model might have broken instances. If you manage to reproduce the issue on a file or a subset of the file that you can share, it would be great !

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to share files from our clients.

Hello Elin,

Our algorithms should not behave like this.

Would you be able to share a file or a part of file with us so we can check what is happening? You can send them at
